Adidas Predator Instinct Red Blue FG
New with tags
The Upper:
- Adidas continued with the same HybridTouch synthetic material
- The synthetic material was a leather alternative, but provided much more padding and comfort than most of the thinner lines, like the Adizero
- Adidas added a new, ribbed rubber element design that goes throughout a large portion of the upper
- The new rubber element does provide a bit of "bulk" to the upper, but they are very flexible and comfortable
The Sole Plate:
- Slightly different from the LZ SprintFrame design, the Instinct uses a "ControlFrame" design
- Like the upper, its a bit thicker and bulkier, but it does provide great comfort, and has great geometrical accents as part of the design
Notes and Comments:
- The 2014 Adidas Predator Instinct was the last of the Pred series until they were reborn in 2018
- It seems they had lost quite a bit of the following with the past few models
- While the instinct didn't necessarily save the silo, it did resemble a traditional Pred a bit better than the last two
- Instead of focusing on being super lightweight and flashy, the Instinct featured a few (not all) traditional colorways and really hammered the swerve and comfort capabilities
