The Upper:
- Nike continued with the KNG-100 upper material, the same material that was used on the original Mercurial in 1998
- A newly designed stitching pattern created a padded like upper texture
- A larger flappy tongue was used compared to the previous Mercurial
The Sole Plate:
- The sole plate featured a unique aesthetic design
- Overall, the sole plate was the same material and SG Stud design as the Mercurial 2
Notes and Comments:
- The Match Mercurial was a bit of a strange one that not too many people remember
- Produced in just a few colorways for a brief period, R9 famously wore this model at Inter
