The Upper:
- The Adidas Ace 16.2 featured a new 3D synthetic skin upper, that was nearly identical in texture and shape to the top model 16.1 boot
- The upper featured triangular pattern throughout the entire boot
- The upper was rather lighteight and the 16.2 model was slightly thinner than the top model, providing a bit more flexibility
The Sole Plate:
- Adidas used a sprintframe soleplate, with a circular stud shape
- The previous Adidas models used a triangular stud shape, so this was a major change from the previous models
Notes and Comments:
- The 16.2 was pretty lightweight with a flexible sole plate design that is very popular
- The upper tired a new 3D upper that provided dozens of grooves in the pattern
