The Upper:
- The X16.1 featured a newly designed "Techfit" upper synthetic material
- The Techfit used a super thin synthetic layer over a mesh like material that is used around the dynamic sock liner
- The sock collar allowed for a super easy locked in fit and extra ankle support, one of the most comfy "high" sock collars that was created
The Sole Plate:
- A sprintframe sole plate, very similar to the previous X and F50 models was used
- The sole plate featured a lightweight plastic material supported by 2 wishbone like elements near the midfoot for added support
Notes and Comments:
- The X model did replace the F50 line as the premier Adidas speed boot
- While these weren't quite as light as the F50's, they were still ultra comfy and offered much more padding and support
