Nike Air Roma GX 2 Black Red SG

The Upper:
- The Air Roma was the middle tier model based off the AIR GX model from the late 90s, using an identical cosmetic look to the top model
- The leather was very similar to the top model, incredibly soft and using the same stitching pattern, it even has that classic leather smell to it
- The AIR GX 2 was released in the black and red colorway as requested by Teddy Sheringham when he moved to United
- The Nike swoosh is in white, whereas the top model uses a chrome swoosh, but other than that there is very little difference
The Sole Plate:
- Consistent with many late 90s Nike models, a one piece plastic sole plate was used
- This is the SG variant, using 6 screw in aluminum tipped studs
- The Roma model used screw in studs, where the top model AIR GX used the moulded aluminum tipped studs, which is the main difference in these boots to the top model
Notes and Comments:
- The AIR GX lead the way for the Air Zoom Total 90 series, using some of the finest materials for a proper power boot in the 90s
- It is incredibly rare to find any of these original pairs as the AIR GX line was produced for a very short period of time in the late 90s
- Made in the late 90s, and a super rare example of a beautifully preserved pair. Upper is absolutely flawless, factory unlaced, with a perfect condition 90s box
