Adidas Stratos Drive Italia 90 SG
New with box
The Upper:
- A full leather upper was used on the Stratos model
- During the late 80s Adidas experimented with all sorts of stitching patterns and color accents, this was a prime example
- A rubber element was used for the stripes, very similar to the design and material of the Mania, and they wrapped around the sole plate
- A massive flappy tongue was used
The Sole Plate:
- A stitched on one piece plastic sole plate was used
- The sole plates at the time weren't exactly the lightweight designs we are used to today, but rather stiff and built to last
- 6 Screw in SG studs were used
Notes and Comments:
- A prime example of vintage Adidas, using a textured print on the accent of the upper and some beautiful stripes
- The tongue was definitely a unique design, but safe to say, it didn't last very long
- As featured in the Italia 90 World Cup
