David Beckham Match Worn Issued Predator Absolute LA Galaxy
Match Issued/Prepared Predator Absolute from David Beckham's introduction to the Galaxy in the summer of 2007
It is possible, these were worn or used lightly for a promo event or training, but it is unlikely and unconfirmed. They are 100% made for Beckham with his custom specs.
The Upper:
- A custom upper was made to the exact specs for Beckham, using a slightly thinner and longer shape compared to the retail boots
- Both boots feature elongated tongues, a staple of Beckham's custom boots. The tongue is about 1.5x the size of retail models
- This colorway is the very first colorway Beckham wore during his first season in the USA with the Galaxy. All promo events and his first matches used this Predator Absolute colorway
- Both heels feature his kids names, "Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz" printed on the heel cup
- Above the heel cups have "DB" and "V" in script, as well as the number 23 on the inside part of the upper heel. The left boot has an England flag, the right boot has a USA flag stitched on
The upper features some discoloration and yellowing due to sunlight and humidity exposure. Almost every white pair of boots has signs of yellowing and aging from the past 15+ years. It is not stained from usage, its from aging.
The Sole Plate:
- This is a SG sole plate that was similar to the specs of retail Absolute
- Custom flooring of the boots was used on these, as they were custom made for Beckham's foot. As mentioned above, the overall shape and sizing is much slimmer and longer than a traditional retail spec.
- Beckham's insoles do not feature the PowerPulse element, instead they are shaved flat. There isn't an insert for the PowerPulse element on the sole plate, a custom spec for Beckham
- As for sizing, it appears Beckham used around a 9-9.5UK or 9.5-10US throughout his career, depending on the boots. However, they don't fit like traditional sizing would as they are custom molded to his foot
