Nike Air Mercurial Vapor I 365 Grey Red Trainer
New with box - The upper has some oxidation and spots throughout. Cosmetic imperfection that is inevitable on the grey used in this model. Best suited for casual wear, not performance/play. The fit is rather tight on this model as well.
The Upper:
- The complete trainer and streetwear model based off of the original Mercurial Vapor series
- The upper used the exact same Teijin synthetic throughout the upper as the top model Mercurial Vapor
- The internal components featured a more padded cushion like material, better suited for casual wear and the comfort of wearing a trainer
- The toe box also featured an elevated component that was stitched over for added reinforcement
The Sole Plate:
- Part of the Nike "Air" series, using Nike's latest and lightest sole designs
- The sole was made of a rubber material with dozens of diagonal grooves, and they even featured a design that resembled the stud placement of the boots
Notes and Comment:
- An extremely rare trainer model that can be versatile for everyday wear. A super similar upper to the boots, made into an elite training shoe.
- One of the best innovations by Nike, showing the effort spent on not only developing a boot, but turning it into an everyday lifestyle product
- The trainers appear to be structurally sound, but they would be best suited for casual wear or walking, not necessarily for playing or training based on the age materials
