The Upper:
- The upper material was still a Teijin synthetic, similar to what was used on the last few models
- The pattern on the CR7 edition Vapor IX models used a smoother and more flexible material, compared to the golf ball like pattern used on the normal Vapor IX
- This is a signature CR7 edition as worn while at Real Madrid
The Sole Plate:
- An incredibly rare HG (Hard Ground) sole plate that was only released in Asia
- The sole plate uses a slightly thicker glass fiber material with a harder plastic material than the FG
- The stud configuration covers a bit more surface area, and is in a layout very similar to the iconic Intertract, AZT90 layout
- Made for maximum traction on hard and artificial surfaces
Notes and Comments:
- The golf ball like pattern gave for a very unique design, and was very comfortable on the Vapor IX
- The Vapor IX was known for their colorways darkening from the front to back, it gave a bit of a Vapor III vibe to it, but slightly different
